Child Safety Standards
ScreenParty (Android app com.huitongdesk.screenparty and the web version at screenparty.huitongdesk.com) has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), including child sexual abuse material (CSAM), grooming, sextortion, and any sexualized contact with minors.
What is prohibited
- Sharing, requesting, or linking to child sexual abuse material in chat, on the whiteboard, through video links, or by screen sharing.
- Sexualized messages to, or about, anyone under 18.
- Grooming: building contact with a minor for sexual purposes, or trying to move a minor to another app or meeting.
- Sextortion and any threat or coercion involving sexual images.
How ScreenParty is designed to reduce risk
- No public rooms, no stranger matching, no user directory: rooms can only be joined with a code or invite link from the host.
- Hosts can lock a room and remove people; removed people can't come back.
- Screen sharing is off by default and needs a system confirmation every time.
- The service is not directed to children under 13 (16 in some countries), and users under 18 need a parent's or guardian's permission.
Reporting inside the app
Anyone can report a message, a user, or a whole room from inside the app, and block users. Reports go straight to the developer and are reviewed within 24 hours; reports involving minors are handled first.
You can also report directly: [email protected] (subject: "Child safety").
What we do when we learn of CSAE
- Remove the content and the people involved from the service, and block them from the room.
- Preserve the relevant information as the law requires.
- Report apparent CSAM to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) CyberTipline, and cooperate with law enforcement and other authorities as applicable law requires.
We comply with applicable child safety laws in the places we operate.
